7.62 x 39mm (.311) 123gr Spire Point

These are great in both my Russian SKS and my Canadian Enfield No4Mk1*. Have found that Alliant 2400 (14 grs and 16 grs respectively) works great in both cartridges.

9mm (.356) 115 gr Hollow Base Round Nose Thick Plate

I started out using the 1250 fps rated bullet and fired hundreds of rounds from my 1911 & SA-35s. I upgraded to the thick plate when I bought a PCC. The accuracy and fun factors are above reproach. Thousands of…

Loaded up my first batch of these 185 grn FN and really like them. They feed just fine in all my guns and have amazing accuracy, ragged holes at 7 & 15 yds. Only reloading note, I had to seat…

Designed for versatility and efficiency, the .300 Blackout bullet is a top choice for shooters looking to maximize their range time and reloading consistency. The .300 AAC Blackout caliber cartridge is uniquely flexible because it can be loaded to run either subsonic or supersonic, primarily driven by bullet weight and powder charge. This adaptability lets shooters tailor load development for tactical use, hunting, target shooting, and home defense. AAC Blackout bullets also vary widely in muzzle velocity depending on barrel length and grain selection. Berry’s Superior Plated Rifle Bullets® provide the quality reloaders count on across every .300 caliber bullet weight option.

History of the .300 Blackout Bullet

The .300 Blackout grew out of a collaboration between U.S. special forces and the Advanced Armament Corporation in 2010. The goal was a versatile rifle caliber that could switch between subsonic and supersonic loads without changing platforms.

.300 Blackout ammo was engineered to feed from standard AR-15 magazines while delivering performance comparable to the 7.62x39mm round commonly used in AK-47s. The cartridge fires .308-diameter bullets through a barrel typically chambered in a 1:8 twist barrel for stabilizing both light supersonic and heavy subsonic projectiles. Barrel length plays a big role, with 9 to 16 inch barrel builds being most common.

Our Range of .300 Blackout Bullets

Berry’s stocks four bullet weights for .300 Blackout reloading, each tuned to a different role:

.300 Blackout 150gr (.308) Spire Point

The 150 grain Spire Point is the lightest .300 Blackout bullet in the lineup and the right choice for a high velocity supersonic load. The flat trajectory and boat tail-style profile suit target shooting and varmint hunting at moderate yards.

.300 Blackout 180gr (.308) Spire Point

The 180 grain Spire Point is a middle-weight supersonic option that adds energy on target without sacrificing accuracy. It is a versatile blackout load for shooters who want one .300 BLK bullet to cover practice, hunting, and tactical roles.

.300 Blackout 200gr (.308) Spire Point

Choose our 200gr Blackout Spire Point when you need a substantial bullet that delivers deep impact and momentum. This bullet weight is excellent for deliberate, powerful shots, especially in scenarios where stopping power and high muzzle velocity are critical for penetration.

.300 Blackout 220gr (.308) Spire Point

The 220 grain Spire Point is the heaviest .300 Blackout bullet in our lineup and the go-to for a subsonic load run through a suppressor. A heavier subsonic bullet in 220 grain remains the standard for suppressed shooting because subsonic rounds at this weight retain energy at reduced velocity. Blackout ammunition loaded with heavier bullets like this one delivers maximum energy transfer at reduced noise levels, ideal for suppressed shooting and home defense use.

Benefits and Use Cases of the .300 Blackout

.300 Blackout bullets cover a wide range of shooting roles thanks to their supersonic and subsonic flexibility.

  • Tactical and home defense: Subsonic loads paired with a suppressor deliver quiet operation at close to mid yards. Always confirm a stable twist barrel and proper bullet weight to avoid a baffle strike inside the suppressor.
  • Hunting medium game: 200 and 220 grain blackout bullets deliver enough terminal performance for whitetail deer and hogs at moderate distances.
  • Varmint hunting: Lighter 150 grain supersonic load options handle coyote and similar varmints with a flatter trajectory.
  • Target shooting and competition: The .300 Blackout is forgiving across reload sessions, and reloaders can tune load data for accuracy, shot group consistency, or noise reduction.

Why Reload with Berry’s Plated Bullets

Berry’s plated bullets give reloaders jacketed-style performance at a lower cost per bullet. The copper plating reduces barrel fouling compared to traditional cast bullets, which means fewer cleaning sessions during high-volume range work. Tight weight control between bullets also supports better accuracy on paper.

Each bullet starts with a precision-swaged lead core for uniform density. The core is electroplated with a copper layer that bonds to the lead rather than just coating it. Bullets are re-struck after plating to hold tight tolerance on bullet diameter and length. Every bullet is inspected for dimensions, weight consistency, and plating uniformity before it leaves our facility in the United States. Different manufacturer offerings vary widely on quality control, which is why over 60 years of Berry’s in-house production has built a reputation for consistency reloaders can trust across every batch.
