9mm (.356) 115gr Round Nose
Berry’s 9mm (.356) 115gr Round Nose is a copper-plated pistol bullet built for high-volume 9mm reloading. Each 115 grain bullet starts as a swaged lead core, then gets electroplated with copper to its final bullet weight, so there is no exposed lead at the range. Every bullet is re-struck to a true .356 diameter for the accuracy and reliable performance that make these one of Berry’s best sellers. The round nose profile feeds smoothly in almost any 9mm, which makes it a favorite for range training, target practice, and steady practice rounds by the thousand. Bullet O.A.L. is .550″, suggested mm cartridge O.A.L. is 1.13″, and max muzzle velocity is 1,250 fps. Sold in 250 ct, a 500 ct MiniCan, and 1000 ct. Backed by more than 60 years of Berry’s Superior Plated Bullets®.

- Cartridge Name: 9mm
- Cartridge O.A.L.: 1.13"
- Max Velocity: 1250 fps
- Load data for our Superior Plated Bullets® can be found in any manual or on any powder manufacturer’s website.
- Cast or jacketed data with the same grain weight and profile will work with our bullets.
- You can use a taper or a roll crimp.
- Don’t over crimp the brass after seating. This causes bullet core separation, leading to increased copper fouling and accuracy issues.
- Don’t exceed the recommended maximum velocities listed. This creates bullet core separation and accuracy issues.

Have loaded 1000 rds for use in my LC Carbine and Thompson 1927A1. Feeds and fires perfectly in both with better than acceptable accuracy. My new go-to bullet for fun plinking.з>
I’ve been reloading 147 and 158 grain for a long time for my subsonic loads but recently discovered I can make 115 grain subsonics that cycle in semi automatics. These do t drop as soon because they are much lighter,…з>
Loaded up my first batch of these 185 grn FN and really like them. They feed just fine in all my guns and have amazing accuracy, ragged holes at 7 & 15 yds. Only reloading note, I had to seat…з>
Why Load 9mm 115 Grain Bullets?
The 115 grain is the classic 9mm Luger weight and the one most new shooter loads are built around. It is a lighter bullet than the 124 or 147 grain options, and that lighter weight shapes how it shoots.
A lighter bullet leaves the barrel at a higher velocity than a heavier bullet of the same caliber. For the 115 grain, that means a flatter, snappier load that most factory ball ammo is built to copy. Many shooters find the 115 grain gives a sharper, quicker recoil impulse, while a heavier 147 grain feels like more of a push. Which one produces less muzzle flip and felt recoil depends on your powder charge and your gun, so it comes down to what your gun shoots best.
For target practice and volume range days, the 115 grain is hard to beat on cost and availability. It is the standard mm ammo weight, so load data is everywhere and components are easy to find.
Our Bullet-Making Process
- Swaged lead core: Pure lead is pressed under high pressure for even weight and steady flight.
- Copper plating: Copper is bonded over the core, which cuts lead exposure and lowers fouling.
- Re-struck: Each bullet is struck again to hold a true .356 diameter and exact overall length.
- Quality check: Every round is measured for size, weight, and plating before it ships.
Plated bullets give you performance close to FMJ j bullets without the cost, and without the exposed lead of a bare cast bullet. They are indoor range safe, which is why so many ranges that ban lead or FMJ rounds with exposed bases still allow plated.
Loading Your 9mm 115 Grain Bullets
Load data for our Superior Plated Bullets can be found in any manual or on any powder manufacturer website. Use cast or jacketed load data at the same grain weight and profile, since our plated bullets sit between the two.
- Max velocity is 1,250 fps. Do not exceed it. Overspeeding a plated bullet causes core separation and accuracy problems, so stop at the max load in your manual.
- Watch your seating depth. Seat to the suggested 1.13″ cartridge O.A.L. and confirm the round drops freely in your barrel. Correct seating depth keeps pressure in check and feeding reliable.
- Crimp lightly. Use a taper or a roll crimp, and do not over crimp. Too much crimp cuts the plating and hurts accuracy.
Because these are so consistent in size and weight, load work stays simple. As one reviewer noted, every bullet passed a case gauge and micrometer check, which is what keeps a big batch of practice rounds moving fast on the press.
Why Reload with Berry’s?
For more than 60 years, Berry’s has made bullets in the United States for shooters who want an accuracy load at a fair price. As a family-owned business, we control the whole process, from the swaged core to the final inspection, so every 9mm 115 grain bullet drops into the seating die the same way.
Whether you are a new shooter loading your first batch or a high-volume reloader running thousands, these bullets deliver the same result round after round. Browse the rest of our 9mm bullets for other weights, or explore the full line below.

I ordered two cans (500 each) of 9mm 115gn round nose bullets from Berry Bullets. Very consistent in size and weight which made for quick reloading. I reloaded 100 rounds and each round was checked in a case gauge and with my micrometer and they all passed. It’s way too cold to shoot them today but once it warms up, I plan to check their accuracy. I will recommend these to any reloader looking for consistent size and weight in their projectiles.
